Energytraining
Energytraining is a spiritual training programme based on Kundalini Yoga (after Yogi Bhajan), which D. Harald Alke developed in 1986 out of more than three decades of his own practice. It is aimed at people who wish to unfold their mental abilities and give their lives more clarity and meaning. Energytraining is a spiritual exercise practice – not a medical treatment.
What is Energytraining?
Energytraining combines body and breathing exercises, meditation, mantra and mental training into a holistic path of practice for body, mind and soul. It is intended as a training, not a product: you practise it yourself – alone or in a group – and thereby develop your own potential.
At its core it is about self-knowledge: you get to know your inner patterns better, gain clarity about your reactions and strengthen your mental agility. Mantra meditations help to let go of old habits and to see life from a new perspective.
The foundation: Kundalini Yoga
Energytraining is based on Kundalini Yoga, as Yogi Bhajan taught it in the West from the 1970s onwards – complemented by Western approaches to personal development. In 1976 Harald Alke attended one of the first Kundalini Yoga courses in Germany, in Hamburg (with Tarn Taran Singh), and passed this knowledge on over decades as an independent training programme.

What does Energytraining give you?
Energytraining is a path of self-knowledge and personal development. Many practitioners describe:
- more clarity about themselves and their own goals
- increased creativity and new approaches to thinking
- more inner calm and composure in everyday life
- a more alert body awareness and general well-being
This is meant in terms of experience and development – a spiritual practice, not a medical effect and not a promise of healing.
Your own experience instead of ready-made truths
The core of Energytraining is your own, immediate experience – it can neither be taken from a book nor prescribed by an authority. A book can give good guidance (that is what our training volumes are for), but you have to have the experience yourself; every person and every situation is too unique for that.
We just as consciously distance ourselves from any guru role: we do not want to bind anyone to us or impose a worldview on anyone. We offer viewpoints and exercises – what you make of them and how you interpret them is for you to decide. Equality, in our view, is an illusion; every person has their own stage of development, and it is precisely this diversity that stimulates growth.
A tip for the beginning: do not expect a particular, prescribed feeling – anyone who chases an expected experience often blocks their own perception. How you train your perception step by step is shown on the exercise page Training perception.
For work & everyday life
Energytraining can also support you in a professional context – as a tool for clarity, creative problem-solving and a self-assured approach to challenges. In decades of work as a trainer, Harald Alke has accompanied many people in mastering professional hurdles and walking their path more confidently.
Books & CDs
The entire programme is described in two volumes – Energytraining Volume 1 & 2, each with twelve training programmes of three months each, accompanied by Kundalini Yoga mantra CDs. The books and CDs are available in the Kyborg shop.
Training: group & private
- Group training (weekly) – see Seminars & Training
- Private Energytraining by arrangement – conditions on request.
It helps to start with an experienced trainer; many practitioners, however, also get along well on their own with the books.
