Ageing
Ageing is the ongoing, natural process of change to which the body is subject in the course of life. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally regard it on a soul-related level.
Our reading
From our point of view, a life with meaning and a task keeps one mentally and physically alive: whoever stays curious and feels needed often ages more calmly. A healthy way of life – movement (such as yoga, Tai Chi or Energytraining), good nutrition, rest – can support well-being into old age. No one is “to blame” if they fall ill or age earlier.
Some traditional and spiritual sources report exceptionally long lives. These accounts belong to our tradition.
What does that mean in practice?
- Attend to a healthy, active way of life and good relationships.
- Cultivate meaning and tasks – they keep one alive.
- Accept ageing instead of fighting it.
