Exhaustion
Exhaustion is a state of strongly diminished physical and emotional strength. The causes are manifold – from overload and lack of sleep to treatable illnesses such as anaemia or thyroid disorders, which is why persistent exhaustion should be checked by a doctor anyway. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally regard the theme on a soul-related level.
Our reading
In our reading, the pleasure that we can feel hangs closely together with the available life energy. Exhaustion we understand as a signal that this energy is waning – a spur to look at one’s own way of life: what drains? What does good? Where may something change? This is a suggestion, no attribution of guilt.
What does that mean in practice?
- Provide for enough sleep, recovery and balance.
- Ask oneself what in life is costing especially much strength right now – and where relief is possible.
