To withdraw or to help shape?

In recent times we had some discussions with various people who get worked up about “modern grievances”. The radiation exposure from ever more satellite and network systems, the possibilities of eavesdropping, the public surveillance, etc. From this, for some spiritually oriented people, the consequence follows to “leave” society, to go to the countryside, to live with as little technology as possible, etc.

A further aspect that keeps surfacing is the agitation about terrible events, like wars and crimes. Of course these are terrible things, that “people do such a thing”, or that certain circles quite systematically earn money with these crimes, manipulate high politics, etc. It only strikes one that precisely our contact persons have no personal contacts whatsoever with these terrible events – thank God! Whoever is on a spiritual path tries not only to improve themselves; they also want to help others, they would most of all like to abolish “evil”. That is very understandable, was so for me too for many years, until I was finally ready to let everything work on me in peace for once.

I understand all this very well, and I had similar considerations earlier. I began Kundalini Yoga at 29 and at 30 decided to move to the countryside. I wanted to raise my children in nature on an organic farm, with far-reaching self-sufficiency, with as little technology and money as possible. That I also put into practice for about 8 years (10 years in France in total). We produced most of it ourselves, and the only income was our child benefit. Whoever visited my organic farm had training, accommodation and board all free of charge, if possible in return for a little cooperation during the visit. 8 years of “serving people” without demanding anything!

Little by little I gained some new insights, and the most important for me was perhaps the following juncture: in France we would have been allowed to educate our children at home ourselves, but I did not want to isolate them completely from children of the same age, and the alternative – the French village school with 15 children and later the authoritarian, pseudo-liberally run secondary schools – did not seem to be an alternative either.

In addition, although I had many occasional guests, seminar participants and “big-city Indians” on their summer holidays, almost all came from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, thus from far away. So in 1985 I decided to close down Le Braquet, to put my 3 children into “normal” German schools where they had to fight their way through, and to offer my seminars no longer completely free of charge, but for normal fees, like therapists too. I think that was right.

Now comes a decisive point:

All of us, including our technology and including all social defects, we are a part of great nature. And quite simply everything that exists, including rock or radioactive material, or our own rubbish, everything lives and is a part of the divine consciousness. The universe as a whole IS GOD! And we, as small parts of it, have positioned ourselves somewhere. We arrange ourselves here on earth somewhere where our spirit can, as a consequence of the surrounding conditions, make particular experiences. Here we can learn something that takes our spiritual development further, e.g. the working-through of our karma that we ourselves have caused!

And if everything that exists is God, then we should be very careful with criticism. God knows no nonsense. Everything makes sense; it is only a matter of recognising it! And it makes no sense to get personally worked up about events that do not personally concern us at all, or to fight against events that we cannot influence at all from our position.

An example of this:

From the view of reincarnation, difficult life situations and relationships can have deeper roots that reach over several lives – people meet in order to work something through. In some of my regressions such a connection came up. That is expressly no judgement about others and no reason to raise oneself above someone – on the contrary, it admonishes to compassion and reticence in judgement. Much that we prematurely assess as “terrible” opens up only from a larger context.

It becomes essentially different, however, when, through a positive strategy, we reach some people, when our positive thoughts multiply and this positive energy then shows an effect. That can lead to overarching changes that you yourself did not even properly think of before. That is precisely magic, shamanism, the butterfly effect, spirituality!

I have actually worked very successfully my whole life as a life counsellor for others, in various ways. As said, very successfully. But that was because people came to me who really wanted to have help. That is, it was provided in their life plan that they seek and also find a way out of their difficulties. There one can say I was lucky! That was just also provided for me thus. Other therapists have less luck. To them come clients who whine but actually do not want to become healthy and successful at all! There a counsellor can make ever so much effort, the advice is of no use. But said in confidence, these therapists are also just bored and let everything wash over them. They just play the father confessor. Quite generally formulated, the right people will meet each other. It is provided thus in their life, in our life.

That was also the juncture at which Horus gave me the energy pyramids. When someone came whom I obviously could not help, who also did not want to or could not do Energy Training, they could now buy an energy pyramid and, in a quite gentle way, improve the energy in their surroundings, so as to get new impulses for a better life.

The decisive point thus means that everything somehow has its right to exist, and that every living being itself decides into what kind of life it is born. No one is born forcibly or by chance into a good or terrible life! There is no power that punishes us in advance, but we ourselves perhaps did harm in the last life, which caused karma, and that we have to work through. Our guardian angels see to it, at every new incarnation, that we keep the rules that follow from our old karma.

Everyone has, from their respective point of view, things that they find quite terrible, or that they find quite great. Whether that is then, from an expanded view, really terrible or great, may be left open. These are snapshots; the insights can soon change again, because quite new, previously unexpected events occur. About this I could write a whole book.

I made many regressions for 20 years, and what was uncovered there in terms of credible causes and connections is a large excerpt from “true life”. The periods in which we develop our spirit and our plans on earth do not go only through one life, but over centuries, through several incarnations (see also some songs by Enigma). Goethe said about this, “Only he is worthy of being called a human who surveys 30 of his lives!”

I was earlier active in the left-wing scene, from about 1969 to 1974. That brought me a great deal. The voluntary social and political engagement in my mid-20s was an important learning process, but the societal relevance was very small. It was simply an important phase of development for me and a few alert friends and comrades. It was part of our social education. And even if not directly much was to be seen, in the long term we did contribute something to certain societal changes.

The spiritual path of Kundalini Yoga, the study of esotericism, the unfolding of my spiritual consciousness from 1976 were in any case considerably more effective and far-reaching for all involved, for all people with whom I had a more intensive contact. Seen thus, I would like to say that for me the spiritual path was and is absolutely the right one. And the effects that we can trigger far exceed the imaginative power of intellectual thinkers. And with Horus energy pyramids I then achieved, in 1990, after 14 years of intensive efforts, a really great feat that really has changed the world and still does! There, after the first quarter-century, we are still at the beginning! Cool.

How do we relate to modern technology?

I thought about it for a long time, how we should behave towards modern technology, towards this espionage problem, the radiation exposure, etc. Well, put briefly, I hold the view of my son Tobias to be right, to take part at the most modern state of technology. His smartphone is an extended “typewriter”, a versatile communication device. What is really mentally important cannot be captured with it at all. And if someone eavesdrops on us, they cannot do much with our kind of texts. They search for other things. We are perhaps a nuisance to certain people (the pharmaceutical industry, churches, the medical profession), but we are no real “system pests”. On the contrary, even if our critics do not know it, we contribute very much to the stabilisation of society. By “we” I mean the whole “alternative” scene!

And since I am clairvoyant, I can perceive very well that especially Tobias and many young people adapt very well to the radiation exposure, to their smartphones, etc. Horus confirmed this to me several times too. Whoever does not resist can adapt. I would say it is a nuisance (a burden), but we can learn to live with it, and our energy pyramids help us to neutralise these disturbances, because we simply vibrate higher! Our Horus energy pyramids are really spiritual instruments. They foster our spiritual development in a gentle and definite way. Irresistible.

What we can do is convey to other people spiritual thoughts and training methods. And what we absolutely should do is take away their fear and not add new fears, or wake old fears again. In the esoteric and alternative scene, fear stories regularly haunt about that create more unrest than they create clarity. Such fear scenarios above all hinder people from meditating and from a positive shaping of life. Whoever has fear is bound and not free. Whoever has fear does not come inwardly to rest! That is precisely what it is about, that we develop an inner calm and confidence with which one can live well under all circumstances! Already 1% of spiritual meditators are enough to dampen the negative excesses of society.

First we ourselves must develop stability, free of fear, in order then to convey that to others. And if we succeed in that, it also becomes friendlier and more peaceful in our environment. That draws circles, and the energy in our sphere of influence settles at a high positive level. The more we let ourselves be made afraid, the more difficult and gloomy it becomes. And the more we let ourselves be caught by fear stories like the mobile-phone problem (radiation + spying), the worse we fare. If you let yourself, e.g. at a trade fair or in a seminar, be drawn into negative conversations with bad energy, then you will have less success with the good that you want to convey. Every emotional debate about negative politics and societal defects wastes energy!

In this respect you should examine for once how much you are already hindered by your apprehensions. It could be that your own engrams want to prevent your great successes. It can likewise be that certain negative forces have attached themselves to you, in order to prevent you from coming out big! Whenever a person enters the spiritual path, negative forces become active that want to suppress their opening to the light. These are tests of whether you mean it seriously. Such disturbances we must overcome!

Here once more an old saying of mine:

When the cosmic power (God, the cosmic consciousness) sets us a test, it also gives us the power to master this test! A test that one cannot solve makes no sense. And the universe, or God, knows no nonsense, no useless tasks and tests.

30 years ago I already brought the parable of the lotus:

The kernels of the lotus must first go into the sludge of the depths, on which they feed, in order from there to let the first long shoot grow up to the water surface, often over many metres, in order then later, with the power of the sun, to unfold their huge leaves and their wonderful large blossoms.

That, my soul, be your parable!

In this sense, turn to the light, do good, harm no one (not even yourself!), live happily, consciously and in prosperity!

The rejection of smartphones, social networks and other technical developments is not new and by no means limits itself to the esoteric or generally alternative scene. There are milieus that consciously create such principles for themselves in order to live as outsiders, as a protest against big developments.

The steady expansion of technological developments into ever more of our areas of life is hard to overlook and also cannot be denied. For many people that is too much, and they resist it tooth and nail. Some of the protests provide for the improvement of such technology in order to raise its acceptance in the population. Others are simply and plainly ignorance or the attempt to resist a development that will prevail in this or a similar form, whether one opposes it or not.

The only difference is that in one’s protest against a medium-term fixed development, one merely wastes energy and gives away possibilities to really move something. Whoever endeavours their whole life to prevent the use of the smartphone isolates themselves first of all from this communication medium. Nearly every young person today has such a device; the social media and information systems are today increasingly designed for it, and one actually gets around smartphones no more, if one does not want to lose the connection to the new trends of interpersonal exchange. Now one can argue whether it is really interpersonal or not, when a small flickering display lies between me and my counterpart, or a microphone transmits digital signals that at the respective other end are converted back into acoustic waves. Telepathy works also without direct contact. Twins can feel each other’s state of mind, even if he or she is at the other end of the world. Seen thus, modern technology is an attempt to compensate again for this loss of perception and empathy that we lost here through the Inquisition and generally through religious dogmatism.

Traditional book printing too resisted the introduction of the microcomputer – oh horror, every ordinary citizen can print out their own texts at home at an acceptable price. A guild, a dogma with great influence, lost ground and resisted with all its might this devil’s work. A devil’s work that merely brought with it the condition of a societal development: the stronger independence from printing houses that determined access to the book market and now saw themselves faced with the fact that they were no longer needed and must develop further if they still want connection to society. It is about nothing else with the smartphone. Certainly, one can be surveilled, even eavesdropped on, with a smartphone.

Only, all of that also works without owning a smartphone and is a long tradition in all epochs of our cultural history, whether in ancient Rome, around 1000 BC, in the Middle Ages or today. Today nearly all public transport is video-surveilled, public institutions (also parts of my university in Heidelberg), public streets, supermarkets, electronics retailers, motorways, … etc.

But in the end no one can really look into our head, and our thoughts will always belong to ourselves; our ether of past experiences and times withdraws from every materialistically oriented technology. Yes, general science even wants to deny its existence, even when colleagues from their own ranks, among them many founding fathers of their disciplines, have in part for centuries claimed the opposite.

Only the materialistically oriented people are standardisable and thus definitely calculable. The spiritual ones, or those who begin to move on this path, always have possibilities to tread other ways and can break out of the bureaucratic grids of fearful dogmatists, even when they make use of the tools of the masses. I am a sociologist, trained in the analysis and categorisation of society, its fringe groups and its core, the mass of the people. My task was and is in a certain way still to classify people, only that I injure the prevailing guild and make use of the information and insights outside sociology in order to bring the picture closer to nature again. That by no means excludes technological progress. Even my father Harald writes that on the first page of the accompanying brochure of the Horus energy pyramids!

What is decisive is not the technology, but who uses it and how.

One can use a knife as a tool to prepare food, to procure nourishment, if necessary to defend oneself, or one can harm others and oneself indiscriminately with it. The knife bears at neither of the two forms of application a responsibility or any complicity. It was forged by the human, and not by evil or good forces. In the first place it served the purpose of an easing of work.

Has the human being for that reason lost contact with themselves, all the more humanity as a whole in every corner of its expressions and diversity? There will always be different stages of development in humanity as an overall society, alone already for the reason of the different access to knowledge, cultural development and the circumstance that we are not born as adults. Seen thus, technology can even create very much free space for us for spiritual development. It is, in the form of a smartphone or today’s generally widespread technologies, by no means spiritual, but it can serve the spreading of spiritual knowledge or take work off us, provided we do not let ourselves be talked into something else by fears, apprehensions and misinformation of ignorant or bad people.

An example for this is offered by the three largest IT corporations. Google, the omnipresent “provider” of such cheap smartphones, offers after all only about 1.5–2 years of service for programme security and is thus more strongly dependent than the others on the steady and mass consumption of new smartphones by us as users. Microsoft, the ponderous and bureaucratic giant that has increasingly lost ground and inscribes the games market as a new main goal on its Xbox Live service, tries with very cheap but poorly programme-supplied smartphones to gain ground and binds the support to the lifespan of its new Windows 10 of 5 years, currently until 2020. Apple manufactures everything in-house, makes no secret of its profit from its hardware business and popular services like iTunes, and delivers the probably longest service for its devices of almost 8 years, and as the only one without subscriptions for office and operating applications with a considerable abundance of applications. At least so the current situation, which can again and again fluctuate and shift, depending on whose interests are pursued and how society and the companies and people within it develop. Everyone must decide for themselves what is right for them. Whoever wants to obtain connection to general society gets, in almost no area of life, past one of these providers. Therefore technology as such is nothing terrible. The energy pyramids too are a form of technology, admittedly closer to nature and with access to the cosmic consciousness. Nevertheless they are, in their finely worked form, also created and precisely worked with wholly unspiritual technologies.

Today we can, in the shortest time, build a beautiful house and have a beautiful place to meditate, our private retreat. Also a “miracle of technology”.

And if we do let ourselves in for this game of general protest against development and change, precisely as spiritual or spiritually inclined people, then those bureaucratic people who want to keep us from precisely this path have won. We are classified as alternative protesters, ranked into a measurable number and recorded in the great round dance of bureaucracy.

If we decide against it, preserve for ourselves the freedom of our spirit, and whoever really wants to be free cannot be in fearful protests against fixed developments – we may perhaps count as “normal” citizens, but we can go in spirit wherever we want. Only the general consumption phrases hardly take hold with us, and we present more a threat to retail than to the bureaucratic apparatus that only tries to preserve itself and only imagines itself safe when it has marked every stone and recorded it in a register.

One can use technology as a means of easing communication, of easing work and shortening communication paths, or one can oppose it and let oneself be neatly marked, in a bureaucratic labelling of number-conscious bureaucrats, as a protester. In neither of the two cases can we really withdraw from the presence of these technologies. Only in the case of the arrangement can we draw our own benefit from it and create for ourselves new free space for our spiritual development.

In this sense I wish all readers and people a conscious, carefree life and success in their life tasks, also in the great societal whole with its peculiarities and developments.
