Why do fear scenarios keep recurring?
At regular intervals, horror stories are spread that keep the population in worry about the future. Such tales find, unfortunately, wide distribution in the esoteric scene too – precisely because sensitive people often worry particularly honestly about the life on the earth. Thereby many heavy feelings and thoughts are scattered, which lessen our possibilities for meditation and for positive shaping of life.
Precisely attentive, conscious people should therefore be mindful and not carry such stories onward. When we are confronted with them in consultations or seminars, we should factually call a halt to them.
Many a prediction proved exaggerated
A sober glance back shows: not every greatly announced catastrophe has come to pass. The “millennium bug”, which was supposed, at the year 2000, to crash the computers worldwide, failed to materialise. The “end of the world” prophesied for 2012 according to the Maya calendar did not take place. Early resource forecasts too, which announced the end after only a few years, did not hold true in their temporal drama. That does not mean that there were no real challenges – but the dramatic sharpening often serves attention more than the matter.
With the climate too I observe – that is expressly my subjective view – that much politics and business is made with fear. That changes nothing about the fact that environmental protection and the changeover to renewable energies are sensible and right; only one should proceed in this with a sense of proportion.
Staying factual
Someone once aptly said: “When bad news is carried to me, then it should find its end here with me and not be spread onward.” A good attitude.
Let us stay factual and at a distance when the next stories are dished up to us – there are more important things to do!
