Pain
Pain is an important warning signal of the body: it shows that at some place something is not in order – an injury, a congestion, an overload. Pain is always to be taken seriously, and persistent or chronic pain should be checked by a doctor anyway. At the Kyborg Institute we consider the theme additionally on a soul-related level.
Our reading
Alongside the physical cause, we read pain as a hint that somewhere energy is blocked or a part of the body needs rest. Helpful questions: What should I refrain from right now so that this region comes to rest? What burdens me? Soul-related tension too can express itself in physical complaints – that does not mean the pain is “imagined”: pain is real. Which region is affected can, in our reading, point to the theme (e.g. joints and “getting ahead”).
What does that mean in practice?
- Grant the affected region rest and relief.
- Ask oneself which burden “hurts” right now – in the literal as in the transferred sense.
Related reading: headache.
