Disabilities
Disabilities are lasting physical, mental or emotional impairments that can make participation in life more difficult. At the Kyborg Institute we meet the theme above all with respect and dignity. Our spiritual view is expressly personal and worldview-based – and expressly without any attribution of guilt.
An attitude of dignity
Every human being is, in our understanding, valuable – independently of capacities or limitations. We like to regard life in larger, also soul-related, contexts (cf. karma and reincarnation). This we understand as a comforting belief-conception that can create meaning – never as a punishment, as “self-inflicted” or as a judgment about those affected or their families.
Support and therapy belong in professional hands
Medical care, support and therapy of people with disabilities are the task of professionals. A pleasant atmosphere, music or affection can give well-being – that is no remedy and replaces no professional accompaniment.
What does that mean in practice?
- Meet people with disabilities with respect and on an equal footing.
- Organise support, therapy and assistance through specialist agencies.
- Understand spiritual readings as a personal view – never as an evaluation.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.

How does the Kyborg Institute look at disability?
From a personal, spiritual view, we see every life as meaningful and dignified. This is a worldview-based attitude – no medical statement and no evaluation of people.
