“My-Gold-Cent” – small art for Europe

“Understand? What the devil has that to do with understanding? Art is not there to be explained, but to trigger feelings in the beholder!” – Pablo Picasso
Art means, for me, getting people out of the normal routine in thinking and bringing them to new, positive thoughts.
The idea

As an answer to the euro crisis, I had 1-cent coins nickel- and gold-plated – out of a cent thus became a small piece of jewellery. Solutions for a better World: one can always make everything a little better!
Many speak of a euro crisis and thereby talk it up bigger. The world is also made out of what we constantly think. It is easy to “upgrade” the euro if we deploy our creative imagination. One can carry the Gold-Cent as a talisman in the wallet – as a reminder to support, in thought, the euro and our economy. In our country not everything is optimal, but we live in relative security, in peace and with good provision. In comparison with many other states, we are very well off here.
Holding out positively
When many people constantly spread fear and annoyance because they are demoralised by the mass media, that is of use to no one – it harms all involved. Frequent whining about grievances is useless and destructive. When negative sayings are carried to you, hold out against them with your good energy and do not participate in the spreading of bad news. Believe in yourself and your own power – and pass this attitude on.
From my view, there is also speculation against the euro on the stock exchanges, and the constant war of nerves in the media wears people down. All the more important is it that conscious people direct their contemplation first to the positive: the thoughts and feelings of a whole people are a great power that can realise itself.
Gratifying, therefore, was the report (in early 2012 and again in 2014) that the great majority of German citizens – despite all the negative reporting – have no fear of the future and look positively ahead. This feeling will realise itself.
“Culture is everything that allows the individual to find their bearings towards the world, towards society and towards the native heritage – everything that leads to the human grasping their situation better, in order to be able, under certain circumstances, to change it.” – definition of the Council of Europe
