Shoulders
The shoulders are the joint regions that connect arms and trunk and make a large range of movement possible. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read shoulder complaints on a soul-related level, expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
Our reading
On the shoulders we symbolically carry our responsibility and burdens. If the load becomes too great or life becomes a torment, this can, according to this image, show itself in the shoulders – one can “no longer take hold properly, but also no longer let go”. Helpful questions are then: What can I no longer carry or bear? What weighs me down – and how can I change it?
An observation from Harald Alke’s practice: whoever strengthens the shoulder girdle with measured training often also takes on, in a transferred sense, more courage and bearing. That is a personal experience, no universally valid statement.
What does that mean in practice?
- Have persistent or severe shoulder pain clarified by a doctor.
- Strengthen the shoulder region in measure and keep it mobile.
- Ask oneself which “burden” presses particularly hard right now – and where relief is possible.
