Tiredness
Tiredness is at first the natural need for rest and sleep. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally regard persistent tiredness on a soul-related level, expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
Our reading
In our reading, behind constant tiredness there often lies less a real sleep deficit than dissatisfaction or boredom – a lack of joy for what is happening right now. An overload of stimuli too plays a role: whoever burdens themselves ceaselessly with news, catastrophes and other people’s problems tires in soul. Whoever, by contrast, finds a meaning and their own fulfilling tasks often feels more awake. Unprocessed emotional burdens (such as grief) can likewise lead to a “switching off”. These are compassionate suggestions, no claims about causes.
What does that mean in practice?
- Have persistent tiredness clarified by a doctor – treatable causes can lie behind it.
- Look at one’s own media consumption and the question of meaning; begin something new, go among people.
- Attend to restful sleep, movement and real breaks.
