Eczema
Eczema is an inflammatory change of the skin, often with redness, itching and scaling; atopic dermatitis (neurodermatitis) belongs to it too. It belongs to be clarified by a dermatologist. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read skin themes on an energetic-symbolic level – expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
Contact and demarcation – our reading
The skin is our boundary to the world. In our reading, eczema can symbolically have to do with contact and demarcation – with the feeling of being “exposed” or too close to others. We assign this to the region of the 4th chakra (heart, closeness). That is an inner image – no claim about causes and no attribution of blame; a rash, especially with children, is no “mistake in upbringing”.
Have it medically clarified, care for it well
Eczema and atopic dermatitis can be treated dermatologically; good skin care and the avoiding of individual triggers help. Caring baths can be pleasant as wellness – but they are no remedy and replace no treatment. Attention and a relaxed environment do good as a supplement.
What does that mean in practice?
- Have skin illnesses clarified by a dermatologist and treated.
- Apply prescribed care/therapy consistently.
- Understand the soul-related view as a supplement, not as a substitute.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.
