Cramps
Cramps are involuntary, often painful muscle contractions. Physically, many factors can play a part – overload, the fluid and mineral balance or the blood flow. At the Kyborg Institute we consider the theme additionally on a soul-related level.
Our reading
In our reading, a cramp is a sign that we hold something fast and cannot let go – tension that does not release. We understand it as an invitation to relaxation, for instance through autogenic training. In addition, the look at the place is worth it: cramps in the stomach region we read, for example, as “not daring to take something for oneself or being overwhelmed”, in the neck-shoulder region as a theme of responsibility and assertiveness.
What does that mean in practice?
- Attend to enough fluid, a balanced diet and measured movement.
- See to relaxation and break down stress.
