Intervertebral discs
The intervertebral discs are the elastic cushions between the vertebrae of the spine. They cushion strains and keep the back mobile. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read disc problems in soul-related terms, expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
Our reading
In our reading, disc problems often show an overload of the whole structure: pressure builds up – so the image – over head and shoulders down to the spine, until the person feels inwardly “pressed together”. If they come to rest and feel relieved, the complaints subside in this view. Whoever lastingly carries responsibility or (for instance in retirement) constantly worries can thus unconsciously create pressure for themselves. That is a pictorial suggestion, no claim about causes.
An inner attitude that helps some: I find calm within. I let go. I recover. The world is in order.
What does that mean in practice?
- Disc complaints belong to be clarified by a doctor – best by someone who does not operate prematurely but diagnoses factually.
- Stay in measured movement (gentle turning and stretching exercises) instead of immobilising yourself entirely.
- See to soul-related relief, for instance through autogenic training.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.
Frequently asked questions
What are the intervertebral discs?
The intervertebral discs are the elastic cushions between the vertebrae of the spine. They cushion strains and make mobility possible.
How does the Kyborg Institute read disc problems?
In our reading, they often show an overload of the 'whole structure' – physically as soul-related, the person feels pressed together. Inner calm and letting go can relieve. That is a personal reading; the treatment belongs in medical hands.
