Conception (procreation)
Conception is, biologically, fertilisation – the fusion of egg and sperm cell, with which a new life begins. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally describe the process from a spiritual point of view, which we expressly understand as a personal, worldview-based view.
Our spiritual view
From numerous regressions we derive the following image: in the moment of conception a spirit incarnates. Parents, the incarnating spirit and its “guardian angel” form for us together a “holy fourfoldness”. The emotional mood of the parents at conception – whether love and devotion or tension – shapes, in this reading, the later feeling for life of the child. This is a spiritual image of experience, no medical or scientific statement.
A thought in passing that fascinates us: the ratio of volume of egg cell to sperm cell is around 1 : 1.33 million – almost exactly the ratio of Earth to Sun. A beautiful emblem, no more.
