Pain
Pain is an important warning signal of the body: it shows that at some place something is not in order – an injury, a congestion, an overload. Pain is always to be taken seriously; persistent, severe or unclear pain belongs to be clarified by a doctor. At the Kyborg Institute we consider the theme additionally on a soul-related level – expressly as a personal, worldview-based view and never as a substitute for a clarification.
Our reading
Alongside the physical cause, we read pain as a hint that somewhere energy is blocked or a part of the body needs rest. Helpful questions: What should I refrain from right now so that this region comes to rest? What burdens me? Soul-related tension too can express itself in physical complaints – that is a sensitive observation, no assertion that the pain is “imagined”: pain is real and to be taken seriously. Which region is affected can, in our reading, point to the theme (e.g. joints and “getting ahead”).
What does that mean in practice?
- Have persistent, severe or new pain clarified by a doctor – especially with a chronic course.
- Grant the affected region rest and relief.
- Ask oneself which burden “hurts” right now – in the literal as in the transferred sense.
