Neck problems
Neck problems are complaints in the neck and nape region – such as tension, a stiff neck or restricted mobility. Frequent triggers are posture, stress and overload. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read them in soul-related terms, expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
Our reading
In our reading, in the neck there often sits a theme of responsibility and assertiveness: whoever wants to assert themselves but does not manage it, in them “the energy stays stuck in the neck” – it comes to tension, in the chronic case to a stiff neck. Fear and uncertainty or occupational pressure can play into this image too. A stiff neck stands for us symbolically for inflexibility – the difficulty of “seeing all sides of a matter”. The more flexible in mind, the more mobile the body, so our view. That is a pictorial suggestion, no claim about causes.
What does that mean in practice?
- Have persistent or severe neck complaints clarified by a doctor.
- Attend to good posture, movement and a breaking down of stress.
- Ask oneself: where do I feel overloaded or “blocked”?

How does the Kyborg Institute read neck problems?
