Liver
The liver is the central organ of metabolism: it stores nutrients, detoxifies and forms bile. Illnesses of the liver belong in medical treatment. At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read the organ on an energetic-symbolic level – expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.
The 3rd chakra – strength and measure
We assign the liver to the 3rd chakra – the navel power centre. In our reading we connect liver themes with strength, will and the right measure: whoever overreaches, constantly wants to do justice to others’ demands or “consumes themselves” does not live in balance. That is an inner image – no claim about causes. Different views (medicine, yoga, indigenous traditions) can, for us, complement each other into a richer overall picture, without replacing medicine.
Have it medically treated
Liver illnesses (also in connection with alcoholism or metabolism) belong to be clarified and treated by a doctor. A moderate, healthy way of life and relaxation can support well-being as a supplement – they are no treatment and replace no therapy.
What does that mean in practice?
- Have liver values and complaints clarified by a doctor.
- Handle alcohol in moderation; take prescribed treatments seriously.
- Understand the energetic view as a supplement, not as a method.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Kyborg Institute read the liver?
We assign it to the 3rd chakra (navel power centre) and connect it with themes such as strength, will and the right measure. That is a spiritual, worldview-based reading and no medical statement.
Can yoga treat liver illnesses or diabetes?
No. Such earlier statements ('prescribing exercises', 'getting the illness under control') we have removed. Illnesses of the liver or metabolism belong to be medically treated. Relaxation can support well-being as a supplement.
What does the liver good?
From a medical view, among other things a moderate handling of alcohol and a healthy way of life. About concrete measures with liver illnesses the doctor decides.
