Caesarean section
A caesarean section is an operative birth that is often medically necessary and protects mother and child. At the Kyborg Institute we classify the theme sensitively and on a soul-related level – expressly as a personal, worldview-based view and without any attribution of blame.
A birth is a special transition
We understand every birth – whether spontaneous or by caesarean section – as a significant transition into life. A caesarean section is no “wrong” start: children who come into the world this way develop well. The earlier blanket statements that all caesarean children have problems later are inaccurate, and we have removed them. No one – neither mother nor child – bears “blame”.
Soul-related accompaniment – as an offer, not a necessity
Some parents want to sense the experience of birth afterwards in soul-related terms. That can be personally enriching – but it is no healing procedure and no necessity, and it “remedies” no disorders. With questions or worries, midwife, gynaecologist and paediatrician are the right people to turn to.
What does that mean in practice?
- Value your own path of birth, without pressure and without blame.
- With questions about birth and development, seek professional advice.
- Understand soul-related accompaniment as a personal supplement.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.
Frequently asked questions
Are caesarean children 'not properly born' or disadvantaged?
No. This blanket statement we have removed. A caesarean section is often medically necessary and saves lives. Caesarean children develop well; there is no reason to see them as disadvantaged.
How does the Kyborg Institute see the caesarean section?
We understand every birth as a special transition. Some parents want to sense the experience in soul-related terms – that can be personally enriching, but is no 'healing' of disorders and no necessity.
What if parents are worried?
With questions about birth and development, midwife, gynaecologist and paediatrician help. Soul-related accompaniment can do good as a supplement.
