Inflammations

An inflammation is the body’s defence and repair reaction to stimuli, injuries or pathogens – often recognisable by redness, warmth, swelling and pain. At the Kyborg Institute we consider the theme additionally on a soul-related level, expressly as a personal, worldview-based view.

Our reading

In our reading, at the inflamed place there sits, as it were, “too much energy” – something has fallen out of order, and the body clears up. A light, local inflammation we understand thereby rather as a process of cleansing; stronger or persistent inflammations, however, are to be taken seriously and belong to be treated. Which organ is affected can, in our view, point to the theme: an inflamed eye – “not wanting to see something”; an inflammation of the middle ear – a “not-wanting-to-hear” in conflicts with authority. These are pictorial suggestions, no claims about causes.

What does that mean in practice?

• Have stronger, feverish or persistent inflammations clarified by a doctor and treated.
• Grant the body rest for healing.
• Look at the soul-related context – without declaring it the sole cause.
