Anthropogenesis denotes the question of the origin and development of humanity – literally the coming-into-being of the human being. The term is used both in science and in spiritual teachings. This page sums up compactly which alternative, expressly worldview-based and speculative view the Kyborg Institute holds on it – and places it honestly.

What does anthropogenesis mean?

Anthropogenesis (also anthropogeny) stands for the teaching of the coming-into-being of the human being. Established science investigates it via palaeontology, archaeology and genetics. Alongside this there are spiritual traditions – for instance in theosophy and anthroposophy – that additionally read the origin of humanity in spiritual terms. The Kyborg Institute places itself in this second, spiritual line.

What alternative view does the Kyborg Institute hold?

At the centre of the Kyborg view stands the conviction that the history of humanity is older and more manifold than common accounts assume. Core points of this reading:

• Very early, and in part in parallel, there were several human-like races – small, medium-sized and very large humanoids.
• The human being has a spiritual origin reaching beyond the single life; soul and consciousness pass through many existences.
• Spiritual practice can open access to memories of an earlier being.

These points are formulated as a personal conviction and alternative reading. They do not understand themselves as a correction or refutation of science, but as a worldview-based offer for people who occupy themselves with spirituality and mysticism.

Into this narrative the Kyborg Institute also places the image of early high cultures – for instance Atlantis as a sunken culture whose memory, according to this view, remains preserved in the Akasha.

What is it based on – and how is it to be placed?

The basis of this view is subjective, inner sources: personal visions, reincarnation experiences and the so-called reading in the Akasha. Such sources are, by their nature, not verifiable and not reproducible. We therefore deliberately call them what they are – a spiritual reading, no proof.

We consider it honest to state this placement openly: whoever occupies themselves with these thoughts should read them as an independent, spiritual perspective that stands alongside scientific research and does not replace it. Closely bound up is this view with the thought of reincarnation, according to which the soul passes through many lives.
