Allergies
Allergies are excessive reactions of the immune system to actually harmless substances – from hay fever through skin reactions to asthma. They belong to be clarified by a doctor (e.g. an allergist or family doctor). At the Kyborg Institute we additionally read the theme on a soul-related level – expressly as a personal, worldview-based view and always only as a supplement to medicine.
Our soul-related reading
In our reading, an allergy has something of a defensive stance: as if someone inwardly defends themselves against a circumstance they bear only with difficulty. Such images can help to classify one’s own experience – but they are no claim about causes and no attribution of blame. Physically, allergies have well-researched triggers.
Important: treat medically, recognise emergencies
Allergies can be treated well medically. Please use prescribed medication – such as asthma sprays or emergency medication – as instructed and do not discontinue it. With signs of a severe allergic reaction (shortness of breath, swellings in the mouth/throat region, circulatory problems): call the emergency number at once (112 in the EU, or your local emergency number).
What does that mean in practice?
- Have allergies and asthma clarified by a doctor and treated.
- Avoid triggers, keep emergency medication at hand.
- Understand relaxation and a good environment as a supplement, not as a substitute.
Note: This article renders a personal, worldview-based view and is not medical advice. It replaces no medical diagnosis or treatment. For health questions please turn to a doctor or pharmacy; do not discontinue prescribed medication on your own initiative.
