When we come into the world and see the first light, we first have to learn to use our eyes. It hurts at first and demands everything from us, but after a while we get to grips with it. We even have to learn how to breathe in the first few minutes, because our lungs were never active in the womb.
Later, we learn to crawl, then walk and talk. Our senses perceive ever more diverse areas of life. We fight our way up, learn new things and orient ourselves towards our fellow human beings, ideally our parents. Teachers and people who impress us are added later. Our personality is formed layer by layer, building on the foundations of our experiences and the stories we pay attention to.
In times of abundance, we receive far more support than our ancestors who first had to realize this abundance of the natural order. We do not know the deprivations of our parents, we feel safe in the crowd of the many. The struggle no longer seems necessary. Narratives take the place of experiences and the stories change with each new generation.
What really leads to the goal, the basis of our ancestors’ achievements, fades into the ghost stories of the best storytellers. Arrogance takes hold and the things that are important in life are forgotten. The security of the group becomes a prison for the individual. He has forgotten how to look after himself. The group becomes weaker and those with the weakest morals and quickest to judge seize power and live at the expense of the many. Striving to remind the masses daily that only the group offers the security they control.
The self-appointed leaders suppress those who want to break out, who want to fight again, to risk something in order to learn, for the future of their children and the future of society. Your watch instinct awakens in you, the power of your birth returns and creates new worlds. Prosperity can return when people are ready to take responsibility for themselves. We learn from mistakes in order to grow. Or we try to avoid every mistake that might never happen and end our lives as walking drones of the dying tribe, eternally bound to the endless repetition of the biggest mistake: trying to avoid every mistake!
If we want to learn how to leave our children a society worth living in, we must also be prepared to take responsibility for our own lives. We must be prepared to make mistakes and learn from them. Development has never taken place in conformity. It serves only one purpose: the preservation of the existing. But as the world continues to turn, impossible to predict what will really happen, standing still under the protection of the group is the creeping death of our children’s future.
True prosperity only comes from development and change initiated by individuals. The opinions of the majority, in the desire for conformity, exclude any possibility of development. Traditions offer guiding ideals and yet they must be adapted from time to time. Refusing to change will harm everyone.
It is therefore particularly important to give our lone fighters room to develop and to be critical of the wisdom of the many. The fear of the many, in their comfort in the protection of the group, has always been a bad advisor.
So if you want to promote prosperity and development, you have to break new ground yourself and not ask others to pass tests that you will never understand. Be a role model and go your own way, remember the power of your birth, the heart of a lion and consider what you want to leave to your children.
