How much is there to these memories? In 1980, after about 4 years of Kundalini Yoga, my desire to find proof of previous earth lives became more urgent. Then, after I had been entertaining these thoughts for some time, I dreamt of a situation where I was living as an abbot in a Benedictine monastery, with vivid images of a house with a certain outside staircase, then the name “Schönbrunn Castle” came into my consciousness, sometime in the 16th century. How to find it now?
In a second meditation the number 7106 appeared. What did that mean? It was the zip code of Schönbrunn! My subconscious had given me a valuable tip. I visited 3 places in the region called Schönbrunn, 2 of which meant nothing to me, but the 3rd place had a very strong effect on me. The castle itself was clearly not the place I was looking for. However, when I looked down into the valley from the castle wall, I felt completely sick. Down there was the mansion that I had seen in my visions a few weeks ago! In front of the house I found the outside staircase from my dreams.
The old tithe house of the monastery (where the farmers had to pay their 10th) is the only one that has remained intact since the Middle Ages. So my visions had led me first to a vantage point (Schönbrunn Palace), and then to a genuine relic from one of my earlier lives. What I am reporting here is an abbreviated account. There are many more wondrous things to report on the way to the destination and in the details. The interior of the “accidentally” open vault, our old storage room, also looked very familiar to me.
At first I was unable to find a way from the top of the castle down into the valley to the old monastery. When I asked for directions, someone sent me to a Catholic priest who had got married. He was now doing family therapy. He showed me the way through the next village, then in a wide arc back to the monastery in the valley. There was a sign outside saying “Dominican monastery”. I said to him, “But in my visions, that was a Benedictine monastery!” He laughed and replied, “Yes, you’re right! The old monastery was built by Benedictines, but 200 years ago it was sold to the Dominicans. And now there’s a state archive in it.” So even this chance encounter had a deeper meaning, namely to confirm another detail from my visions. It is good when we repeatedly receive confirmation of our visions. It shows us that we are on the right path.

My son Tobias accompanied me on a journey to an earlier life on earth. We only took the photos on a second visit in 1992.
I have succeeded several more times in tracking down places of my former existence here on earth, in order to gain experience in these places and in the moods that arise in the process of how and where I used to live and what I can now learn from them in order to dissolve old karma. Freed from old ties to the past, we can live much more in the here and now than without the results of recollection. On the one hand, it may be good if we don’t know everything about the past, but on the other hand, unconscious memories connect us to past events like fine tentacles. These can be the causes of disturbances in everyday life.
