Pranayama and Feng Shui
for personal development and business success
My little book “The Stages of Pranayama – The Secret of Breathing and Concentration!” is one of my bestsellers. When I bought the new building for the Kyborg Institute in 1989, the estate agent not only found me a building that perfectly met my requirements, but also put me in touch with the Montabaur Academy, where the management of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken is trained. He had been trained there himself before setting up his own brokerage business.
It’s always good to find a hand that can open an important door! The director of the academy asked me what I could offer him and his guests (that others weren’t already doing), and I had to react quickly. I looked at the man and thought that if the people here are all like that, then energy training would just be too much for them. They have other things on their minds than doing one or two hours of intensive training every day. So I quickly and decisively said, “Breathing and concentration!” No further comment from me. He was taken aback. He hadn’t expected such a short answer. He thought about it for a few seconds and then he said, “Okay, let’s try it! I’ll call you!”
It was the beginning of a good, casual collaboration that lasted 7 years until I finally ended it myself. Why? I got bored and I saw better ways to use my energy. If you find the right tone and are able to meet people where they are, then you can build a good relationship with many people and everyone involved will benefit. During my time at Schloß Montabauer, I only had directors and board members in my seminars and once a special seminar with the executive secretaries of these gentlemen.
Most of these people are real professionals in their profession and are under constant stress and pressure to succeed. They didn’t all know each other, even if they had graduated from the same academy. When the seminar started, they all signed in on lists. In these lists, they also entered how many millions or billions in turnover their own bank had achieved in the previous year. They obviously derived their mutual appreciation from this list. On the one hand, they were dealing with millions and on the other, they were people like you and me.
I made quite a few friends in these circles and received only the best marks in the participants’ final reports. At the end of the course, each seminar leader received an evaluation from each participant. It was a meaningful and educational time for me, and these top managers (CEOs) were really happy with the change that such a simple topic as breathing and concentration brought to their lives.
“My boys” were a really good bunch, but the majority of them only used pranayama for personal fitness. The spiritual aspects remained alien to them. For this reason, after 7 years I turned to a different group of people, people who were seriously interested in spirituality , regardless of their profession. That has always been my concern. I didn’t just want to pass on a greatly reduced part of my teaching. It is difficult to deny a spiritual calling. My bank participants were surprisingly open-minded, but I was not allowed to come with truly spiritual content. Some of them came to me privately, seeking advice or coaching, or invited me to their banks for personal training.
And it is not my way to impose my mindset on other people. Everyone may be happy in their own way, and everyone will have good reasons for choosing and following a particular path in life with all its advantages and turmoil. We should always respect that.
In connection with my breathing techniques, we naturally also talked about other factors that are important for the success of a company. Inspired by my presentations, one participant asked me the following. “Although I have a nice workplace, I don’t like sitting there. I get tired quickly and lose concentration.” He was quite sensitive, he was right, and I could see a strong radiation load in his aura.
I spontaneously said, “What’s behind the wall where you’re sitting? Are there PCs with screens there?” Everyone was amazed. It was exactly right! People often think so short-sightedly. You have a nice room, a nice space, but a dozen then-modern PCs were standing one next to the other behind this wall. The man was constantly sitting in this radiation, which easily reached 2 meters with the old monitors.
He called me a week later. He was very relieved. He was now sitting on the other side of the room against an outside wall, had a clear view both of the front door and out of the window, and was free of this radiation exposure.
This is applied feng shui. You should always be able to see something pleasant, the view from the window over the park, and feel safe, the view of the entrance. There are so many simple tricks to make your life easier! You just have to know them! And once we have mastered these basics, our eye for the essentials grows. We begin to question things ourselves in a new way. We recognize connections where there seemed to be none before.
The lack of prana is often the cause of the very unpleasant climatic conditions in department stores, where a sensitive person would prefer to run away quickly. The miserable air in such rooms depends on several factors. The air is always positively ionized.
We humans need negatively ionized air. The air we breathe must be fresh for us to feel good. This is the case everywhere by the sea or in the forest and after every rain, when the air is fresh and moist. Dry, warm air is bad for our bodies. Corporate leaders should provide their employees with a healthy climate for optimal performance. I can’t work freely in an office that exhausts me without a handshake. My mental performance decreases and my brain is reluctant to work. In a department store where sensitive customers get sick from the climate, sales will never reach optimum levels. The reinforced concrete structures generate enormous electromagnetic fields. Iron grids in the ceilings act like antennas if they are not accidentally earthed. Employees and customers are exposed to stressful magnetic fields, which they have to fight against with great effort in order to maintain their concentration.
It may have a certain benefit if customers wander around absent-mindedly and end up buying any nonsense. However, optimally designed department stores would certainly attract more customers because people feel comfortable in them. The electromagnetic fields just described in conjunction with the permanently flickering fluorescent tubes destroy prana on a large scale.
People unconsciously realize that they are not allowed to stay in such rooms for long. It makes them weak. They get breathing difficulties. And the concentration of pollutants in department stores is often frightening, especially in some clothing departments and in the departments selling various kinds of chemical products. The atmosphere has a depressing effect. These 6 factors (positively ionized air, electrosmog and magnetic fields, fluorescent light – flickering, chemical pollution in the air and the destruction of prana) have a damaging effect in almost all modern buildings. They are bad for customers, bad for employees and definitely bad for business. It cannot be an argument that we will survive even with these conditions! We need to make our environment more life-friendly and constructive instead of making ourselves ill through thousands of small negative factors. With such living conditions we are running ourselves into the ground.
In new large buildings and in existing ones, a device can be retrofitted that negatively ionizes the air in the buildings. Ionization devices are used for this purpose. Enriching the air with fresh air, oxygen if necessary, and natural fragrances would make it much easier to stay indoors. This is not additional expenditure, but a valuable investment for the future of a business. The air conditioning systems in use today must be extended or retrofitted accordingly. According to studies by a British specialist company already working in this sector, most air conditioning systems are veritable breeding grounds for harmful microorganisms of all kinds. They do not keep the buildings clean, but contaminate all employees with infected air. The well-known mass epidemics of flu, colds and coughs in the winter months are partly caused by these systems. The modern epidemics are almost all related to our breathing.
The negative factors just mentioned can be enough to drive a company into bankruptcy without any of those responsible realizing what is actually going on. There is then talk of “increased sickness rates, lack of motivation, unsatisfactory absenteeism, an irritable working atmosphere, frequent staff turnover” etc. The background is hardly ever revealed. Who gives it much thought? Nobody.
And if you do start to think about it, then you should pay very close attention to the effects of the various breathing techniques(pranayama). Of course, I am not the only one who offers breathing exercises, but my decades of experience with the special methods of Kundalini Yoga speak for themselves. These are the best methods, and those who use them will benefit greatly!
Just do it, try it out! Of course, there are all sorts of other methods that have been developed by someone. But I think the methods described here get to the heart of the matter. With Pranayama you can reorganize your whole life! The foundations of Pranayama are based on thousands of years of experience in Kundalini Yoga, the oldest science of human nature!
Pranayama comes from Sanskrit and means prana = energy and yama = vehicle, loosely translated as energy and movement, or how to progress and develop by using natural energy!
Breathing is life, with breathing we regulate our energy, and my method has been good enough to train CEOs for 7 years to make their daily tasks easier. Everyone can use these methods, and those who apply them conscientiously will raise their quality of life to a new level.
So if you want to get involved with my program, then proceed step by step, experiment with the various methods (chapters 1 – 7), and then turn to the exercises that are most effective (chapters 8 and 9).
Chapters 1 – 7 are useful, but the highlight comes in chapters 8 and 9. Once you have learned how the individual steps are meant, then practise the exercise from chapter 8 regularly. It is best to do it 3 times a day for about 5 minutes, and if you are ever in a deep life crisis, then do it for an hour!
With intensive practice, the program of energy regulation through pranayama blows away all dull thoughts and emotions! Once you have experienced this, it is the beginning of a new, positive phase of life in which enthusiasm for life takes center stage.
In the following chapters I show that pranayama can also lead to much more fun in love and to better sex. What follows from this? Of course, pranayama is also very good in obstetrics! My wife had our 2 children in just 20 minutes each thanks to intensive breathing without injections and chemicals, without hysterical screaming, without cramps and blockages. The breath of fire described in Pranayama is simply fantastic because it directly releases the hormones that stimulate labor in a woman giving birth. In the following chapter, I then go into the benefits of pranayama in professional life.
Life is beautiful, our earth is beautiful, and we are a living part of it! We should always keep this in mind and make a living contribution to it.
My methods have given many thousands of people a new quality of life, and if you study and practice it carefully, you will soon know what I am talking about and how much it can bring us!
