The social change that the introduction of AI has brought to children’s education is enormous. Knowledge can be imparted depending on the individual interests of the children and address specific problems of the child with pinpoint accuracy.
Families can once again impart values while indoctrination by the state is greatly reduced. Political influence in the form of mental limitation of the child can be minimized, the free spirit gets new chances.
It should not be overlooked that AIs can also be instrumentalized for these purposes. OpenAI in particular proved this with ChatGPT in the US election campaign with the suppression of correct information about Donald Trump while the Democratic opposition, the government in office at the time, was effusively praised, along with topic filters for the world domination ideas of the World Economic Forum, the UN and the WHO.
But for general knowledge, they are far better than any school institution. LLMs, commonly referred to as AIs, are huge knowledge databases that can react interactively and can really put an end to many useless blocks that we are taught at school today.
This gives us the opportunity to support each child individually instead of teaching them to sit still for years. The school principle of “everyone is equal and must all be treated identically” no longer applies (which is completely at odds with human nature and evolution), but rather “live your strengths and know your weaknesses”.
A fish can’t climb trees and a monkey can’t dive or swim well. Creativity can be encouraged again and is no longer nipped in the bud by the bureaucratic madness of state educational institutions, wherever it occurs.
In my personal experience, LLMs have huge blind spots when it comes to specialist areas or marginal opinions. This should be taken into account and communicated. AIs will probably never be able to replace the intuitive nature of humans, provided that humans cultivate their own intuition!
It is both an opportunity and a constraint, but if used wisely, the advantages can far outweigh the disadvantages.
An opportunity for free spirits and the rekindling of genuine family ties.
